  • These rules are written in the Children’s Right International Convention.
  • This text was approved in 1989 by the United Nations Organisation (UN).
  • It was signed by 193 countries.

Children are human beings with a crucial difference: They are growing up! They have specific needs and must be protected in order to grow up safely and healthily. They are not autonomous because they need adult around them to provide for their needs and protect them.

Children and young people can develop their potential, prepare themselves for adult life, when their rights are respected!
